What an extraordinary week it has been. First the UK votes for Brexit and now the US voted for Trump. What on earth could top that in the new unpredictable world of politics in which we find ourselves? I wouldn’t have voted for him but then I was no fan of Hillary Clinton either.

Westminster Hall Debate - English Wine - 16-11-2016

We need to encourage investment in English wine. Setting up a winery in the UK is an expensive business, much more expensive than on the continent where they have a better climate for it.

BBC - Child Abuse Inquiry Resignations - 16-11-2016

The resignations from the inquiry into child sexual abuse have been unhelpful and have distracted from the very important work of the inquiry. What is needed now is for the inquiry to be transparent about what has happened in the past and for politicians to allow them to get on with their work.

It was a very busy week at Westminster last week ending with a barrage of emails from constituents either indignant or supportive of the High Court ruling on why parliament and not the Government should trigger Brexit.
