Hundreds of 1950s Women’s Action Groups protesting against changes to the State Pension age staged a demonstration outside Parliament last week. After the protest, I hosted a meeting of supportive MPs and WASPI women to discuss the key issues affecting them.
The debate over same sex marriage is over. Over 15,000 couples have taken advantage of the new opportunity and the world has not fallen in. However, as some of us argued at the time, the extension of marriage unwittingly created a new inequality.
