I know that many of you have registered your interest in the Homes for Ukraine scheme and this is testament to the warmth and generosity of our community.
In the meantime there are various challenges to overcome as I have explained in the video below.
Thank you again to all those constituents who have offered support to the people of Ukraine in so many ways. I know of a few refugees with family connections who have made it to Sussex already and over 10,000 have so far been through the now streamlined online visa process.
A busy week in Westminster and Sussex. The crisis in Ukraine is unrelenting, meetings with the PM as well as controversial legislation here in parliament. Lots is taking place in Sussex as the effort to provide aid has been remarkable and the push to save Caversham House continues.

Not surprisingly I have been inundated with emails this week from constituents rightly concerned about the situation in Ukraine and the increasingly ruthless aggression by the Russian military.
Like many other MPs I have been overwhelmed with emails from constituents appalled at the horrors that Russia is imposing on the people of Ukraine, wanting to do their bit to help and sharing my frustration that the schemes to give safe haven to feeling Ukrainians in the UK appear too slow.
