Tim had a good meeting with the new Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, the Rt Hon Stephen Crabb MP, this evening about WASPI - Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign and he will come back with a response to my suggestions shortly.
On Monday 25 April 2016, the House of Commons debate amendments to the Immigration Bill, in particular the so called Lord Dubs Amendment – agreed in the House of Lords – which proposed to allow 3,000 refugee children in Europe into the UK. I supported the Government and voted against this particular amendment.
During a debate on the Immigration Bill, there were a number of passionate speeches about unimaginably difficult conditions faced by refugees in Europe.
