I am pleased to report that we continue to progress talks with drivers’ union ASLEF aimed at resolving our dispute on Southern. We met with them earlier this week and agreed to continue a structured talks process over the next two weeks.
I appeared on Newsnight to discuss the recent Mundy judgement regarding the lack of bed spaces for a young girl who is has mental health illness. She is due to be released in 11 days, but a secure unit place has not yet been found for her - a situation Sir James Munby said was "utterly shaming".
