From College Green at the start of this incredibly significant week, with my take on why I can't vote for the Withdrawal Agreement in its current form, and a look ahead to how my Bill - the Civil Partnerships, Marriages and Deaths Bill - is faring getting through Parliament. It has a second reading, which is a general debate on all aspects of the Bill, in the House of Lords this Friday the 18th.
It was also a pleasure talking on talkRADIO about various aspects of Brexit including why I believe the Prime Minister's Withdrawal Agreement is completely unacceptable leaving us in the position as eternal rule takers. I also talk about how the Brexit process has been increasingly frustrated and undermined by certain individuals, including the Speaker of the House who has discarded the tradition of impartiality all for the sake of the EU. The Labour Party's calls for a general election are equally as unhelpful and is the last thing we need as a country. You can listen to the full interview here. (06:45 - 24:00)
