Whilst I welcome the money the Chancellor made available to schools in the Budget 2018- details of which you can find here: https://www.timloughton.com/news/budget-2018-money-schools - revenue funding for schools has lagged behind and I am afraid we need to do better.
Speaking on BBC Sunday Politics, I explained that I wanted to see significant increases in revenue funding for our schools and a fairer formula that does not undervalue pupils that happen to be in schools in West Sussex and other parts of the South East.
That funding change needs to come in next year in the Comprehensive Spending Review and hopefully a review of the Fair Funding Formula, but it would have been nice if something could have been done in the Budget.
