Over the weekend I visited Esteem located at The Old School House on Ham Road. Esteem are a great charity based here in Sussex which aims to empower young people, aged 14-26 years, who have been either through the Statutory Care system or are classified as “NEET”, (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
They do this through confidence building events, activities, courses and volunteering opportunities, ESTEEM provides a platform for young people to help themselves on their journey to achieving employment and their own, true life goals.
We discuss - in a rather good humoured way I think - the various ways this great charity support our young people locally.
