Earlier in the year I went to talk to Jay Jackson, the Director of Regency Radio, which is a new radio station based at Lancing Business Park. As the son of a local radio presenter in the 60s it was great to be shown around Regency Radio's studio.
We used to have a lot of local radio in Sussex, but sadly they no longer exist. People tend to trust local news and radio more than the national media, and Regency Radio are trying to bring back the feel of local radio. It was great to see their new studios and hear about their plans and ambitions for the future. They are trying to get a new digital licence that covers most of West Sussex, to cover the area from Worthing to Chichester, and they also have ambitions to do some TV as well in the future, so watch this space.
