The number of cancelled trains on the Brighton Mainline have come down, which is of course welcome - although Monday and Tuesday did see a high number of services delayed for between 5 and 30 mins. On Monday 27% of services were delayed for between 5 and 30 mins, whilst on Tuesday this was roughly the same as 26% of services arrived late. In addition, Monday saw 12.5% of servives either cancelled or delayed by 30 mins or more, whilst on Tuesday 8% of servives performed similarly. This means that on Monday 39.5% of servives were delayed or cancelled, whilst on Tuesday there were 34% of servives delayed or cancelled. It is of course unacceptable that over a third of all servives are delayed. However it is an improvement on a couple of weeks ago when 50% of servives were delayed or cancelled.
