On July 5th 1948 the National Health Service was founded. In the 75 years since that time it has touched all of our lives.
The NHS is one of our greatest national treasures. On this happy occasion I wanted to say thank you to everyone who works in the NHS, and to pay particular thanks to those NHS staff who look after my constituents so well, from the outstanding Worthing hospital, to Southlands in Shoreham and to GP surgeries all across East Worthing and Shoreham.
Thank you so much.
