I gave my reaction to the Queen's Speech yesterday to the BBC. Whilst the speech was always going to be dominated by Brexit - indeed this Parliamentary sessions will last two years rather than the one year as is usual in order to account for the weight of legislation required - and not have everything from the Conservative manifesto following the election result, there are still a number of important issues, such as mental health, domestic violence and increases in the National Living Wage.
While these may not be the 'big issues' they are very important and what was in the Queen's Speech shouldn't be underplayed because of what is not in it.
