After long delays and having to step in to get National Highways speaking properly to UKPN (UK Power Networks) National Highways have confirmed that UKPN will be starting their works on the 18th September and Costain will complete their works early October and then mid-October Telent will then complete the remainder of the works. Hopefully that will then see a completion to this problematic project.
In further roadworks news, I have had a large number of enquiries about the state of play with the new roundabout on the A27 at Sussex Pad after the contractors Buckingham went into administration. Subsequently I have published a short video with an update from the very limited information which we have been given by the developers. I have also commented on the reason for the continued operation of the traffic lights previously used for traffic turning in and out of the old Airport junction of Coombes Road.
