The Post Office is holding a ‘drop in’ customer forum to provide local people with the opportunity to discuss its proposals to relocate and create a new branch for Lancing. I will be attending to make my concerns about the proposal known.
The forum will be held on Monday 19 June 2017 at St Michaels Church Hall, South Street, Lancing from 15.30 until 19.30, with people welcome to attend when they wish between those times.
The intention is to help inform customers of the details of the changes proposed for Lancing Post Office and enable them to discuss the plans and raise questions.
The Post Office is proposing to create a new branch for Lancing, extending opening hours for customers and offering a wide range of Post Office services.
The plan is to move the Post Office a short distance from its current site at 40 North Road to 7 North Road, BN15 9AH, where it will be run by Garrett’s Convenience Store.
The Post Office would operate from a dedicated, open-plan area and opening hours would be extended to include Saturday afternoons. In addition there will be selected Post Office services available from a retail till, open from 0600 until 2200 Monday – Saturday and 0600-2100.
Working with Garrett’s Convenience Store, the Post Office will ensure accessibility for all its customers, including wheelchair users – an automatic entrance door will be installed and the layout will provide sufficiently wide aisles and low-level counters.
